Jiangxi Lianyi Optics Co., Ltd. successfully passed the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) certification in September 2025. This achievement marks a significant step forward for the company in fulfilling social responsibilities, practicing ethical trade, and advancing sustainable development, further solidifying its position as an industry benchmark for compliance.

The SMETA audit framework, developed by the ethical trade organization Sedex, covers four core modules: Labor Rights, Health & Safety, Environment, and Business Ethics. Renowned for its comprehensive standards and rigorous assessment process, SMETA is a globally recognized benchmark in the international market for evaluating corporate social responsibility practices within supply chains.

To ensure a smooth audit process, Jiangxi Lianyi Optics established a dedicated preparation team in May 2025. Led by the Management System Department, the team involved close collaboration across multiple departments including Human Resources, Production Management, Operations, Equipment, Warehouse, Quality, Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Infrastructure. A full-process support mechanism was implemented. Systematically aligning with the SMETA 7.0 standards, the team reviewed 612 documents, conducted three rounds of self-inspections and corrections, accurately identified potential risks, and implemented effective control measures. Simultaneously, on-site pre-audits were organized to identify and rectify issues item by item, ensuring all key items were fully compliant before the formal audit. This thorough preparation demonstrated the team's strong sense of responsibility and efficient collaboration.

From September 22nd to 25th, 2025, an audit team from the internationally recognized certification body TUV NORD conducted a comprehensive 3.5-day on-site audit at the company. Through various methods including site inspections, document reviews, and employee interviews, the audit team performed a thorough and systematic verification of the company's operational processes. The final audit report confirmed that Jiangxi Lianyi Optics met the standards across all four core SMETA assessment areas, with no major non-conformities identified. The company received high praise from the auditors specifically for its production management and document management systems.

Moving forward, Jiangxi Lianyi Optics will use this certification as a new starting point to continuously deepen the implementation of SMETA standards within its operations, and consistently improve its social responsibility management system.
